Also known as self-myofascial release, foam rolling is an accessible form of self-therapy for all fitness levels. With this 60-minute class, a foam roller is used to apply pressure to different points of your body that are tight or sore. During our class, you’ll learn about different trigger points around your body that, when working with a foam roller, can help to alleviate pain, pressure, inflammation, or mobility issues in and around your neck, back, shoulders, legs, and hips.
The basis for self-myofascial release is to help facilitate normal blood flow to sore or tight muscle tissue. Targeting certain pressure points with the assistance of our instructor is a simple way to rehabilitate yourself on your own. Once you learn the basics, you’ll have the ability to keep up with these techniques at your leisure.
